It is about a half mile walk into Chatham Center, unless you go by way of the pond, which is a short cut we used as children on our way to school.  There are several fine restaurants also within that same walking distance, as listed under Local Fare, Restaurants.  And of course, the many wonderful, interesting shops along the town's Main Street are within a mile's distance from your cottage.

You have the choice of many places to swim, offering warm or cold water, calm or surf, fresh water or salt, driving or walking.  It is only 4 blocks to the Atlantic Ocean and the beautiful Chatham Light Beach, or a stone's throw away to swim in the Mill Pond.
